Sport and Drama deliver for RTÉ
RTÉ has seen both Sporting action and Drama return viewers. RTÉ2's coverage of the All Ireland Football Final had 944,600, while RTÉ ONE's drama KIN had 686,600. The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4 returned with 178,300 viewers. Overall RTÉ held 28% of the audience, while Virgin Media Television retained 18%.
TG4 had an audience share of 2%.
RTÉ ONE saw a monthly increase in audience of 11%, it had an audience share of 17%, down 10% from September last year.
RTÉ2 saw its share decrease 8% from last month, acheiving 9% share, it was up by 134% from September 2020. This change largely due to coverage of sports.
RTÉ ONE +1 and RTÉjr had 1.17% and 0.38% respectively. RTÉ2 +1 had 0.22% in September.
Virgin Media one's audience share was 12% in September, an decrease of 5% from August, and no change year on year.
Virgin Media TWO has a 3% share, up 6% from last month and down 7% from September 2020.
Meanwhile, Virgin Media THREE was at 3%, up 8% from August and up 52% from Setpember 2020. Virgin Media one +1 had an audience share of 0.30%.
eirSport1 saw its audience decrease to 0.05% as it finishes up broadcasting, while Virgin Media Sport had 0.1%.
English channels had 52% share of the audience in September 2021.
