Sky TV package including Irish Channels

Sky TV is not effected by Digital Switch Over as they already provide Digital TV. The Irish Channels are available on their Bonus package of channels. You do not need to do anything. Sky do not provide access to RTÉjr, RTÉ One +1 or RTÉ News Now. Currently to receive those channels you will need get saorview approved equipment. Since June 2012 Sky have provided their customers with access to RTÉ Two HD.

According to ComReg as of May 2012 69% of Irish consumers subscribe to some form of pay TV from Cable and Satellite providers. With just 4.4% of subscriptions being to analogue services.

There are now more options for consumers to move to other digital TV providers.

You are currently receiving the following TV and Radio services: -

RTÉ One,RTÉ Two, TV3, TG4, 3e, BBC set of channels, Channel 4 set of channels and many more TV and Radio services (including RTÉ Radio 1, 2FM, Lyric FM and RnaG). Variety of channel depends on the package that you subscribe to.
