3,069 Covid Cases Across Ireland in Past Week
The past week has seen a total of 3,069. The 15th of June saw a total of 472 new COVID-19 cases across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 329 cases. In Northern Ireland 143 cases were reported. In total there have been 392,000 COVID cases since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 329 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 15th of June. Overall 4,937 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE have suspended the covid 19 information website due to security breach.
The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 14,728 cases, a daily increase of 3.
The weekending the 15th of June saw a decrease in cases of 276 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 2,317 between the 9th and the 15th of June.
54 people were admitted to hospital during that week, down 9 from the previous week.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 143 cases on the 15th of June. They reported no COVID related deaths, 2,155 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 9,461.
The weekending the 15th of June saw an increase in cases of 195 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 752 between the 9th and the 15th of June. One death was reported for this week, and only 6 peopler were admited to hospital.
