3,330 Covid Cases Across Ireland in Past Week
The past week has seen a total of 3,330. The 1st of June saw a total of 491 new COVID-19 cases across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 407 cases. In Northern Ireland 84 cases were reported. In total there have been 385,681 COVID cases since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 407 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 1st of June. Overall 4,937 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE have suspended the COVID 19 information website due to a security breach.
The weekending the 1st of June saw a decrease in cases of 156 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 2,863 between the 26th May and 1st of June.
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 84 cases on the 1st of June. They reported no COVID related deaths, 2,153 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
Since May 27th no person has been admitted to hospital with COVID-19. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 9,432.
The weekending the 1st of June saw a decrease in cases of 60 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 467 between the 16th of May and 1st of June. One death was reported for this week, and only 1 person was admited to hospital.
