609 Covid Cases Across Ireland

The 3rd of May saw a total of 609 new COVID-19 cases across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 383 cases. In Northern Ireland 226 cases were reported. In total there have been 371,173 COVID cases since the pandemic began in 2020.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 383 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 3rd of May, with 2 deaths reported. Overall 4,908 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for May 2nd. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 14,275 cases, a daily increase of 7.

A total of 10 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on May 2nd. A total of 28,673 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Northern Ireland

The Northern Irish Health Department announced 226 cases on the 3rd of April. They reported one COVID related death, 2,146 have died in the north since the pandemic began.

2 people were admitted to hospital on the 30th April. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 9,352.
