625 Covid Cases Across Ireland
The 3rd of March saw a total of 625 new COVID-19 cases across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 462. In Northern Ireland 163 cases were detected. In total there have been 334,818 COVID cases since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 462 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 3rd of March, with 11 deaths reported. Overall 4,396 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for March 2nd. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 13,024 cases, UP 11.
A total of 81 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 2nd. A total of 27,338 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 163 cases. They report 3 COVID related deaths, 2,066 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
9 people were admitted to hospital on the 3rd of March. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,917.
