922 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (26th February 2021) a total of 922 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 738. In Northern Ireland 184 cases were detected. 331,337 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 738 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 26th of February, with 10 deaths reported. Overall 4,313 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 25th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 12,837 cases, UP 48.
A total of 47 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 25th. A total of 27,060 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 184 cases. They report 2 COVID related deaths, 2,052 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
5 people were admitted to hospital on the 26th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,833.
