834 Covid Cases Across Ireland

Yesterday (23rd February 2021) a total of 834 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 574. In Northern Ireland 260 cases were detected. 328,521 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 574 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 23rd of February, with 40 deaths reported. Overall 4,237 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 22nd. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 12,647 cases, UP 72.

A total of 55 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 22nd. A total of 26,842 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Northern Ireland

The Northern Irish Health Department announced 260 cases. They report 2 COVID related deaths, 2,043 have died in the north since the pandemic began.

6 people were admitted to hospital on the 23rd of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,766.
