800 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (22nd February 2021) a total of 800 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 575. In Northern Ireland 225 cases were detected. 327,691 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 575 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 22nd of February, with 41 deaths reported. Overall 4,181 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 21st. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 12,575 cases, UP 62.
A total of 86 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 21st. A total of 26,787 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 225 cases. They report 5 COVID related deaths, 2,041 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
6 people were admitted to hospital on the 22nd of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,745.
