894 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (24th February 2021) a total of 894 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 613. In Northern Ireland 281 cases were detected. 329,410 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 613 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 24th of February, with 18 deaths reported. Overall 4,271 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 23rd. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 12,724 cases, UP 77.
A total of 112 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 23rd. A total of 26,954 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 281 cases. They report 5 COVID related deaths, 2,048 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
7 people were admitted to hospital on the 24th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,795.
