1,017 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (25th February 2021) a total of 1,017 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 776. In Northern Ireland 241 cases were detected. 330,424 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 776 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 25th of February, with 17 deaths reported. Overall 4,300 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 24th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 12,789 cases, UP 65.
A total of 59 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 24th. A total of 27,013 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 241 cases. They report 2 COVID related deaths, 2,050 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
5 people were admitted to hospital on the 25th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,823.
