1,076 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (18th February 2021) a total of 1,076 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 763. In Northern Ireland 313 cases were detected. 323,840 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 763 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 18th of February, with 27 deaths reported. Overall 4,109 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 17th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 12,290 cases, UP 90.
A total of 116 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 17th. A total of 26,549 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 313 cases. They report 5 COVID related deaths, 2,026 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
12 people were admitted to hospital on the 18th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,656.
