947 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (16th February 2021) a total of 947 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 650. In Northern Ireland 297 cases were detected. 321,536 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 650 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 16th of February, with 34 deaths reported. Overall 4,036 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 15th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 12,127 cases, UP 97.
A total of 113 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 15th. A total of 26,392 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 297 cases. They report 6 COVID related deaths, 2,015 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
8 people were admitted to hospital on the 16th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,608.
