964 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (13th February 2021) a total of 964 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 788. In Northern Ireland 176 cases were detected. 318,913 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 788 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 13th of February, with 16 death reported. Overall 3,948 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 12th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 11,948 cases, UP 81.
A total of 79 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 12th. A total of 26,142 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
The weekending the 13th of February saw a drop in cases of 1,007 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 6,014 between the 7th and 13th of February. A total of 262 people were reported to have died that week, down from 379 the previous week.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 176 cases. They report 11 COVID related deaths, 1,996 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
5 people were admitted to hospital on the 13th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,546.
The weekending the 13th of February saw a drop in cases of 861 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 2,046 between the 7th and 13th of February. A total of 65 people were reported to have died that week, a drop of 16. Total numbers attending hospital that week was 191, down 132.
