1,005 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (14th February 2021) a total of 1,005 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 821. In Northern Ireland 234 cases were detected. 319,549 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 821 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 14th of February, with no deaths reported. Overall 3,948 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 13th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 11,975 cases, UP 27.
A total of 14 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 13th. A total of 26,156 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
A total of 707 Health Care Workers tested positive for COVID for the weekending the 13th of February, this represents 12% of the total COVID cases for that week. 442 people were admitted to hospital during that week, down 142 from the previous week.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 234 cases. They report 4 COVID related deaths, 2,000 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
4 people were admitted to hospital on the 14th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,559.
