831 Covid Cases Across Ireland

Yesterday (8th February 2021) a total of 831 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 556. In Northern Ireland 275 cases were detected. 312,378 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 556 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 8th of February, with 65 death reported. Overall 3,752 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 7th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 11,584 cases, UP 51.

A total of 141 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 7th. A total of 25,590 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Northern Ireland

The Northern Irish Health Department announced 275 cases. They report 10 COVID related deaths, 1,953 have died in the north since the pandemic began.

14 people were admitted to hospital on the 8th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,409.
