1,217 Covid Cases Across Ireland

Yesterday (5th February 2021) a total of 1,217 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 827. In Northern Ireland 390 cases were detected. 309,081 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 827 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 5th of February, with 36 deaths reported. Overall 3,674 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 4th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 11,440 cases, UP 139.

A total of 218 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 4th. A total of 25,183 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Northern Ireland

The Northern Irish Health Department announced 390 cases. They report 16 COVID related deaths, 1,922 have died in the north since the pandemic began.

17 people were admitted to hospital on the 5th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,293.
