1,553 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (4th February 2021) a total of 1,553 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 1,047. In Northern Ireland 506 cases were detected. 307,906 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 1,047 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 4th of February, with 29 deaths reported. Overall 3,621 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 3rd. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 11,301 cases, UP 138.
A total of 235 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 3rd. A total of 24,965 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 506 cases. They report 16 COVID related deaths, 1,915 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
13 people were admitted to hospital on the 4th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,239.
