1,326 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (1st February 2021) a total of 1,326 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 879. In Northern Ireland 447 cases were detected. 303,592 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 879 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 1st of February, with 18 deaths reported. Overall 3,418 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for January 31st. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 10,950 cases, UP 1.
A total of 203 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on January 31st. A total of 24,328 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
In total 10,961 health care workers were diagnosed with COVID in January or 11% of the total cases reported. In total 4,863 people were admitted to hospital over the course of January.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 447 cases. They report 17 COVID related deaths, 1,878 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
17 people were admitted to hospital on the 1st of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,081.
