1,125 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Yesterday (7th February 2021) a total of 1,125 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 829. In Northern Ireland 296 cases were detected. 311,560 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 829 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 7th of February, with 1 death reported. Overall 3,687 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for February 6th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 11,533 cases, UP 24.
A total of 94 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 6th. A total of 25,449 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
A total of 1,324 Health Care Workers tested positive for COVID for the weekending the 6th of February, this represents 19% of the total COVID cases for that week. 584 people were admitted to hospital during that week, down 62 from the previous week.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 296 cases. They report 12 COVID related deaths, 1,943 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
4 people were admitted to hospital on the 7th of February. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 8,355.
