1,968 New Cases of COVID19

One thousand, nine hundred and sixty-eight COVID-19 cases were announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 70,307. The HSE and the Department of health announce 1,205 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 763 new cases were announced.


Repubic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 1,205 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 14th of October, with three new deaths reported. Overall 1,838 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for October 13th, seventy-three cases were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,916 cases (up 39).

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 763 to 23,878 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 2,157 (Up 62).

Northern Ireland recorded four further deaths. There have been 606 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.
