2,290 Covid Cases Across Ireland

One thousand and ninety-five COVID-19 cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 45,243 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for October 12th, thirty-seven cases were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,877 cases (up 34). Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 1,217 to 23,115 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 2,095 (Up 45).


The headline figures show a total of 1,095 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 13th of October, with five new deaths reported. Overall 1,835 COVID related deaths have been announced.

Northern Ireland recorded four further deaths. There have been 602 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.

The Island of Ireland had an increase of 2,290 cases, bring the total number on the Island to 68,358.
