825 New Cases of COVID19

Eight hundred and twenty-five COVID-19 cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 43,351 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for October 10th, twenty-five cases were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,822 cases (up 28). Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 877 to 21,035 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 2,016 (Up 13).


The headline figures show a total of 825 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 11th of October, with one new death reported. Overall 1,827 COVID related deaths have been announced.

Northern Ireland recorded three further deaths. There have been 591 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.

The Island of Ireland had an increase of 1,700 cases, bring the total number on the Island to 64,386.

The republic had 4,496 cases for the weekending 10th of October, 2020, of which 6% were healthcare workers.
