1,862 Covid Cases Across Ireland

A total of 1,862 COVID-19 cases were detected across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 1,335. In Northern Ireland 527 cases were detected. 293,000 COVID cases have been detected since the pandemic began in 2020.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 1,331 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 26th of January, with 50 deaths reported. Overall 3,120 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for January 25th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 10,494 cases, UP 79.

A total of 176 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on January 25th. A total of 23,032 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Northern Ireland

The Northern Irish Health Department announced 527 cases. They report 16 COVID related deaths, 1,779 have died in the north since the pandemic began.

19 people were admitted to hospital on the 26th of January. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 7,705.
