720 Covid Cases Across Ireland
Seven hundred and twenty COVID-19 cases have been announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 129,293. The HSE and the Department of health announce 301 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 419 new cases were announced.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 301 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 5th of December, with no deaths reported. Overall 2,099 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for December 4th. Sixty were healthcare workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 5,325 cases, up 29.
Figures reported for the Week-ending the 5th of December saw an increase of 225 from the previous week to 2,005, total number of deaths were 47, up 18.
Northern Ireland
Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 419 to 55,047 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 4,348, up 10.
Northern Ireland recorded eleven further deaths. There have been 1,050 COVID related death
Figures reported for the Week-ending the 5th of December saw an increase of 481 from the previous week to 225 to 2,872, total number of deaths were 64, up 11. Admission were up 11, to 64.
