802 Covid Cases Across Ireland

Eight hundred and two COVID-19 cases were announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 121,863. The HSE and the Department of health announce 269 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 533 new cases were announced.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 269 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 24th of November, with five deaths reported. Overall 2,033 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for November 23rd, fifty-three were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 5,117 cases, up 48.

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 533 to 50,676 cases in total. The health department stated yesterday that "data on laboratory completed tests recieved from Pillar 2 on 24 November 2020 was lower than normal, and may be suject to change", an average of 306 cases were reported over the last 2 days. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 4,041, up 39.

Northern Ireland recorded seven further deaths. There have been 954 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.
