1,666 Covid Cases Across Ireland

One thousand, six hundred and sixty-six COVID-19 cases were announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 92,899. The HSE and the Department of health announce 939 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 727 new cases were announced.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 939 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 25th of October, with three new deaths reported. Overall 1,885 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for October 24th, eighteen cases were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 4,210 cases, up 15.

The Week-ending the 24th of October there were 7,166 case report in the Republic of Ireland, of which 255 where health care workers, or 4% of total cases. 30 deaths were reported.

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 727 to 34,105 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 2,673.

Northern Ireland recorded five further deaths. There have been 658 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.

The Week-ending the 24th of October there were 6,885 case report in Northern Ireland, down 177 from the previous week. 38 deaths were reported.
