1,921 Covid Cases Across Ireland

One thousand, nine hundred and twenty-one COVID-19 cases were announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 91,233. The HSE and the Department of health announce 1,025 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 896 new cases were announced.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 1,025 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 24th of October, with no new deaths reported. Overall 1,882 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for October 23nd, twelve cases were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 4,195 cases, up 40.

The Week-ending the 24th of October there were 7,166 case report in the Republic of Ireland, down 268 from the previous week.

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 896 to 34,105 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 2,580 (Up 32).

Northern Ireland recorded eight further deaths. There have been 653 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.

The Week-ending the 24th of October there were 6,885 case report in Northern Ireland, down 177 from the previous week.
