1,782 Covid Cases Across Ireland

One thousand, seven hundred and eighty-two COVID-19 cases were announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 89,317. The HSE and the Department of health announce 859 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 923 new cases were announced.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 859 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 23rd of October, with 4 new deaths reported. Overall 1,882 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for October 22nd, twenty-nine cases were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 4,155 cases, down 8.

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 923 to 33,209 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 2,543 (Up 57).

Northern Ireland recorded six further deaths. There have been 645 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.
