611 New Cases of COVID19
Six hundred and eleven COVID-19 cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 39,584 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for October 5th, forty-seven cases were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,701 cases (up 25). Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 828 to 16,187 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 1,914 (Up 29).
The headline figures show a total of 611 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 6th of October, with five new deaths reported. Overall 1,816 COVID related deaths have been announced.
Northern Ireland recorded one further death. There have been 586 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.
The Island of Ireland had an increase of 1,439 cases, bring the total number on the Island to 55,771.
