396 New Cases of COVID19

Three hundred and ninety-six COVID-19 cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 32,933 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for September 18th, twenty-two cases were health care workers. Fourteen people were admitted to hospital. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,514 cases. Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 176 to 9,341 in total. The total number admitted remains at 1,642, since the begin of the COVID-19 crisis.


The headline figures show a total of 396 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 19th of September, with no deaths reported. Overall 1,792 COVID related deaths have been announced.

Northern Ireland recorded no further deaths. There have been 575 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.

The weekending the 19th of September shows an increase of 635 cases of covid-19 from the previous week, 1,948 cases of covid were reported.
