BAI Radio Contracts

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland have signed to contracts with radio stations covering Limerick and Kilkenny City. Limerick's Live 95FM has retained its licence for Limerick City and County, while new community radio station Community Radio Kilkenny City have also signed a contract with the BAI. The contracts start from October 24th 2017.

Michael O'Keeffe CEO of the BAI and Chairperson Paric Travers represented the BAI at the signing, while Joe Nash and Ronan McManamy represented Live 95 and Cathal Cullen and Miriam Hogan represented Community Radio Kilkenny City.

Speaking at the contract signings, Chief Executive of the BAI, Michael O’Keeffe, said: “The BAI is very pleased to have signed contracts with each of the services today. Limerick’s Live 95FM has been informing and entertaining listeners in Limerick City and County for almost 20 years while our newest community radio service, Community Radio Kilkenny City, has operated a number of temporary 100-day pilot community licenses with the BAI for the last number of years. We wish each contractor every success for the future.”
