The Eurovision is heading to the United States of America. Much like the Eurovision all 50 states will be given the opportunity to compete in a version of the competition for USA audiences, with each of the fifty states being represented by an original song, unlike the Eurovision the series will not have entries from other American nations.

Democrat Phil Murphy has taken the Governorship of New Jersey. The outgoing Republican Governor and Former Republican Presidential nominee Chris Christy supported Republican candidate Kim Guadagno. 2% of the vote went to other parties including The Green Party's Seth Kaper. Paul Murphy took 56% of the vote, with Guadagno taking 42%. Guadagno served as Lieutenant Governor under Chris Christy.

Las Vegas has seen the worst mass shooting in modern American history. The Shooting took place during a Country Music Festival in the city. The Las Vegas Police Department said today that 50 people were killed in the attack and another 400 are in hospital due to the attack. They also said that a lone suspect has been identified as the shooter. 64-year-old, Stephen Craig Paddock, a white male from Mesquite, Nevada.
