TG4 Announce Autumn 2012 Line Up

 

TG4, the Irish Language broadcaster, has announced their 2012 Autumn schedule. It includes the story of Hill 16, the search for the Next Top Jockey, Civil War documentaries, Nazi German, Traditional Irish Music, GAA coverage, news and Young Peoples Programming. TG4's launch was held in Dublin's conference centre.

Reality TV

Jockey Eile is Ireland's latest search for a sporting star, following on from TG4's Underdogs, this time TG4 are looking for Ireland's next top jockey.

Anamnocht also returns with a set of history documentaries on The Quiet Man, the Irish in Congo and the Battle of Clontarf.

Basú recalls the executions of 77 Irish anti-treaty republicans in a 5 part series.

Drama & Comedy

Ros Na Rún returns to tell the secrets of the cosy rural village in Galway. An unknown twin sister, an unstable stalker and a murder cover up?

Scéal provides short films based on stories from Irish language liturature or folklore in a half hour TV drama production.

The politcal satire An Crisis returns for a second season.

Sport

Rugbaí Beo returns with 25 live RaboDirect PRO12 rugby games, including the clash between Leinster and Munster on October 9th, Beo Ar TG4.

GAA Beo returns with the All-Ireland Under 21 Hurling Finals and the TG4 Ladies Football Finals and then AIB Club Championship coverage.

Arts and Culture

Imeall returns as TG4's main Arts programming, presented by Tristan Rosenstock.

Comhra returns to chat with the people, as the men and women of Ireland recount their lives in conversation with Máirtín Tom Sheáinín.

Sean-nós is a new series showcasing the best in Sean-nós talent in Ireland.

Ceol ón Chlann explores well known Irish Families with musical backgrounds from the Blacks to the Keanes, offering insight into their tastes and influences.

Opry an Lúir is TG4's country music series for 2012 it replaces their successful search for a Country Star format Glór Tire.
