697 Covid Cases Across Ireland
The 14th of March saw a total of 697 new COVID-19 cases across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 575. In Northern Ireland 121 cases were detected. In total there have been 342,333 COVID cases since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 575 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 14th of March, with no deaths reported. Overall 4,534 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for March 13th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 13,111 cases, a daily increase of 7.
A total of 22 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 13th. A total of 27,717 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
A total of 210 Health Care Workers tested positive for COVID for the weekending the 13th of March, this represents 6% of the total COVID cases for that week. The total number of admissions by the end of the week stood at 13,111, however the total number admitted to hospital by the end of the previous week stood at 13,189.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 121 cases. They reported no COVID related deaths, 2,099 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
3 people were admitted to hospital on the 14th of March. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 9,040.
