527 Covid Cases Across Ireland
The 13th of March saw a total of 527 new COVID-19 cases across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 384. In Northern Ireland 143 cases were detected. In total there have been 341,637 COVID cases since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 384 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 13th of March, with no deaths reported. Overall 4,534 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for March 12th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 13,104 cases, a daily increase of 34.
A total of 29 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 12th. A total of 27,695 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
The weekending the 13th of March saw a drop in cases of 105 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 3,522 between the 7th and 13th of March. A total of 119 people were reported to have died that week, up from 103 the previous week.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 143 cases. They reported no COVID related deaths, 2,098 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
4 people were admitted to hospital on the 13th of March. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 9,034.
The weekending the 13th of March saw an increase in cases of 99 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 1,251 between the 7th and 13th of March. A total of 23 people were reported to have died that week, up 3 from last week. Total numbers attending hospital that week was 70, down 23.
