Irish Entries Sought For Junior Eurovision

TG4, Ireland's National Irish Language TV Broadcaster, is to bring Ireland to the Eurovision in 2015. This will be the first time in the history of the contest to see Ireland enter. Junior Eurovision (nó Eurofís Sóisearach) is open it children between the ages of 10 and 15. Adare Productions is set to produce the Junior EuroSong for TG4, having produced many of TG4 talent competitions in the past. TG4 are now looking for entrants.

The first Junior Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2003. Like the Eurovision song contest the songs must be original and 2 to 3 minutes long. Votes are take via televoting and a jury vote from each participating country.

In 2014 Italy won the competition in Malta, however Italy's public service broadcaster, RIA, decided not to host the 2015 event and will not be sending a competitor to Bulgaria, the runners up of the last year’s competition.

So far Ireland, Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, The Netherlands, Slovenia and Sweden have declared that they are sending entries to this year’s competition.
