Irish TV Viewing 2013

TAM Ireland have announce the TV viewing audience shares for 2013. RTÉ One remained Ireland's favourite channel with 20% (down 2.6%), followed by TV3 at 10.7% (down 0.8%), RTÉ Two had 7.3%(down 2.7%), TG4 was down slightly to 2% share (down 0.1%), while 3e had a 2.3% share (up 0.5%). RTÉ One +1's share was 0.5%. UTV share was at 2.8% (down 0.3%). Setanta had just 0.3% of the audience.

RTÉ across 3 channels had 27.7% share of the audience (down 3.9%). TV3 across 2 channels had 13% (down 0.3%).

Channel 4 had a share of 4% across 5 channels.

Sky had 6% across 12 channels.

Viacom had 3% for their channels including Nick, MTV and Comedy Central (9 channels).

New entrants to the Irish market UKTV had 1% across 4 channels (Dave, GOLD, Alibi and Watch).

NBC Universal's Universal Channel and E! also had 1%.

2 Discovery channels had 0.6% share, Discovery with 0.5 and TLC with 0.1%.

BBC 1 and 2 had a share of 6%.

42.6% of viewers watched local Irish television (down 4.4% from 2012), with 19% watching channels with opt-out advertising (including UTV and Channel 4), 13% watching the traditional British/Northern Irish channels BBC 1, 2, UTV and Channel 4 and 32% watching other channels.
