922 Covid Cases Across Ireland

Nine hundred and twenty-two COVID-19 cases have been announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 146,796. The HSE and the Department of health announced 922 new cases in the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland will provided details from December 29th.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 922 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 23rd of December, with 8 deaths reported. Overall 2,192 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for December 22ndt. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 5,736 cases, up 49.

A total of 85 health care workers were reported to have been infected. A total of 13,140 health care workers have contracted COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.

Northern Ireland

No figures were announced by the Northern Irish Health Department.
