751 Covid Cases Across Ireland

Seven hundred and fifty-eight COVID-19 cases have been announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 131,922. The HSE and the Department of health announce 310 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 441 new cases were announced.

Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 310 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 9th of December, with 15 deaths reported. Overall 2,117 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for December 8th. Thirty-four were healthcare workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 5,380 cases, up 20.

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 441 to 56,719 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 4,508, up 6.

Northern Ireland recorded fourteen further deaths. There have been 1,099 COVID related death
