596 Covid Cases Across Ireland

Five hundred and ninety-six COVID-19 cases were announced across the Island of Ireland tonight. This brings the total cases to 125,009. The HSE and the Department of health announce 306 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 290 new cases were announced.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 306 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 29th of November, with one death reported. Overall 2,053 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for November 27th and 28th. Fifty were healthcare workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 5,212 cases, up 21.

A total of 237 healthcare workers contracted COVID-19 for the weekending the 28th of November, down 139 from the previous week. 13% of the total number of cases in that week.

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 290 to 52,465 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 4,201, up 27.

Northern Ireland recorded ten further deaths. There have been 996 COVID related death
