Over 3,000 Covid Related Deaths Across Ireland

As the Republic of Ireland leaves level 5 restrictions and Northern Ireland enters further restrictions 3,017 COVID-19 related deaths have been announced across the Island. Today Five hundred and ninety-seven new COVID-19 cases were announced across the Island of Ireland. This brings the total cases to 123,208. The HSE and the Department of health announce 206 new cases in the Republic of Ireland, meanwhile in Northern Ireland 391 new cases were announced.


Republic of Ireland

The headline figures show a total of 206 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 26th of November, with seven deaths reported. Overall 2,043 COVID related deaths have been announced.

The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for November 25th, forty were health care workers. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 5,158 cases, up 19.

Northern Ireland

Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 391 to 51,509 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital in Northern Ireland is 4,107, up 38.

Northern Ireland recorded twelve further deaths. There have been 974 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.
