7,572 Covid Cases in September

7,572 COVID cases were announced in September, while an additional Four hundred and forty-two COVID-19 cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 36,597 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for September 29th, thirty-eight cases were health care workers. Seventeen people were admitted to hospital. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,617 cases. Figures announced by the Northern Irish Health Department show an increase in cases of 259 to 11,952 cases in total. The total admissions to hospital is 1,855 (up 54) since the begin of the COVID-19 crisis in Northern Ireland.


The headline figures show a total of 442 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 30th of September, with four deaths reported. Overall 1,806 COVID related deaths have been announce

Northern Ireland recorded two further deaths. There have been 581 COVID related deaths in Northern Ireland.

September is the second highest month of Covid cases since the outbreak began in February. There were 4,656 extra cases when compared to August.
