214 New Cases of COVID19
Two-hundred and fourteen new covid cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 29,025 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for August 30th, nine cases were health care workers. Five people were admitted to hospital. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,405 cases.
The headline figures show a total of 214 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 31th of August, with no deaths reported. Overall 1,777 COVID related deaths have been announced.
In total 2,916 new COVID case were diagnosed in August 2020. August had the 4th highest number of cases since the pandemic began, it was well above June and July cases which amount 1,053 in total.
