56 New Cases of COVID19
Fifty-six new covid cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 27,313 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for August 15th, six cases were health care workers. Two people were admitted to hospital. The total number admitted to hospital stands at 3,387 cases.
The headline figures show a total of 56 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 16th of August, with no deaths reported. Overall 1,774 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The weekending the 15th of August shows 545 new cases, five less than the previous week. Of those new cases 43 were health care workers, up 22 from the previous week.
