53 New Cases of COVID19
Fifty-three new covid cases were announced by the HSE tonight, this brings the total cases to 26,162 in the Republic of Ireland. The HSE and Department of Health also announced full hospital figures for July 31st, three were health care workers. Six cases were admitted to hospital, the total number admitted to hospital is 3,359 cases.
The headline figures show a total of 44 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 1st of August, with no deaths reported. Overall 1,763 COVID related deaths have been announced.
July's total figures show a total of 635 cases were reported, of which 217 were health care workers, or 34% of total cases. During the month 61 people were admitted to hospital with Covid 19.
