Women's Soccer Continues to Rise in TV Ratings
RTÉ coverage of the Women's Soccer World Cup continues to grow as the tournament comes to its end. RTÉ2 saw 124,000 adult viewers tune into see host country France beaten by the USA on Friday Night. The GAA's hurling finals brought in 420,000 adult viewers as Wexford beat Kilkenny by 1 goal/3 points. RTÉ Crimecall was the only other show in the top 5 programmes for the week ending 30th of June, 2019, with 235,000 viewers. The top matches from the Women's Would cup had an average of 87,000 viewers. Figures for Virgin Media Love Island and TG4's coverage of the Women's World Cup were unavailable.
