Sinn Fein and Fine Geal continue to be neck and neck. In the latest poll carried out by Behaviour and Attitudes for The Sunday Times Sinn Fein had 30% support, while FG have 28% support. Fianna Fail are on 22%, while only The Green Party reached 5% in this latest poll, with The Labour Party on 4, The Social Democrats on 2% and Solidarity-PBP on 1%. Other parties and Independents are on 8%

In June of 2020 The Sunday Business Post ran a story outlining RTÉ's offer to take a 49% stake of Maximum Media, the ailing publisher behind online news sites joe.ie and her.ie. In December following a failed Freedom of Information request to RTÉ on this deal The Sunday Time ran a story outline it reasoning as to why such documents should be released. RTÉ have also refused to say that such document exist as it could potentially undermined them in future business deals.

The Sinn Fein Party has top The Sunday Times Behaviour and Attitudes opinion poll. The poll shows that the party has 32% support, this compares to Fine Gael\'s 27% and Fianna Fails 22%. This marks an increases for the Fianna Fail party of 3 points, while Fine Gael has seen its support drop by 4 points. The Labour Party has 5% support, the first time in this poll that they have reached above 5%. Independents had 7% vote, while other parties has 6% of the vote between them, the poll was taken between December 3rd and 15th. The poll does not take into consideration controversial remarks made by An Taoiseach Micheal Martin that the State did not bail out the banks in 2008, the remarks were made on the 16th of December in the Dail.

Sinn Féin have 32% of the total vote according to the latest Sunday Times/Behaviour and Attitudes poll. The opposition party is 2 points ahead of Fine Gael at 30%, while the two other government parties, Fianna Fáil and The Green Party, have 19% and 5% respectively. Independents and other parties have 14%.
