TG4: Louise Cantillon new Junior Eurovision Presenter
Louise Cantillon is the new face of Junior Eurovision in Ireland. The series was hosted by former RTÉ 2FM DJ Eoghan McDermott from 2015 until 2019. This marks the return of Ireland to the competition following a decision to withdraw in 2020 due to COVID restrictions. Adare Productions continue as producer of the show. Ireland has been represented at the competition since 2015, when Aimee Banks represented Ireland with Réalta na Mara, Ireland's last entry was in 2019 with Anna Kearney's Banshee. The Irish leg of the contest was film in May.
The new presenter Louise Cantillon is a DJ on SPIN South West and also hosts the national chart show HIT 30 na hÉireann which broadcasts on SPIN SW, SPIN 1038, BEAT and Raidió Rí-Rá. This is her first TV present role. Niamh Ní Chróinín and Fiachna Ó Braonáin return as permanent judges with guest judges to be announced.
The series will air this September on TG4 with the winner going on to represent Ireland at Junior Eurovision 2021 in Paris in La Seine Musicale.
