393 Covid Cases Across Ireland
The 10th of April saw a total of 393 new COVID-19 cases across the Island of Ireland. The HSE and the Department of health announced 303 cases. In Northern Ireland 89 cases were report. In total there have been 359,212 COVID cases since the pandemic began in 2020.
Republic of Ireland
The headline figures show a total of 303 new cases as of 12 midnight on the 10th of April, with 1 death reported. Overall 4,785 COVID related deaths have been announced.
The HSE and Department of Health announced full hospital figures for April 9th. The total number admitted to hospital with COVID-19 was 13,832 cases, a daily increase of 19.
A total of 18 Health Care Workers were diagnosed with COVID-19 on April 9th. A total of 28,243 health care workers contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
The weekending the 10th of April saw a decrease in cases of 810 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 2,797 between the 4th and 10th of April. A total of 67 people were reported to have died that week, an increase of 15 from the previous week.
Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish Health Department announced 89 cases on the 10th of April. They reported 1 COVID related deaths, 2,129 have died in the north since the pandemic began.
2 people were admitted to hospital on the 10th April. The total numbers admitted to hospital since the pandemic began is 9,248.
The weekending the 10th of April saw an increase in cases of 43 from the previous week, the total number diagnosed was 680 between the 3rd and 10th of April. A total of 13 people were reported to have died that week, an increase of 8 from the previous week. 21 people were admited to hospital.
